The McPherson High School Band has been making music since the school opened. There have been several great band directors from August San Romani and beyond, they have given themselves and their passion to the students to create music. During a musician’s time in the McPherson High School Band Program, they will learn many skills, both musical and non-musical which will follow them throughout their lives in whatever career path, vocation, or hobby they choose. Students learn teamwork, effort, perseverance, and the will to strive for perfection among numerous other traits. In their time at MHS, students will have the opportunity to travel, compete, and create beautiful music with a band of like-minded peers.
