The Friends of the McPherson Police Department is a not-for-profit organization focused on providing relief and opportunities for the members of the McPherson Police Department and their families. The fund is to be utilized providing emergency help for members in need due to catastrophic event or other emergency needs. The fund also helps in providing additional training and equipment for department members when a need is identified and the Department itself is unable to provide it. Occasionally the fund is used to provide family and team building events in part to acknowledge member families for their support during the year as members complete their service to the community.
